Coronary Anatomy

Right Coronary

  • Anterior Oblique view: highlights posterior descending and allows identification of conus and SA nodal branches

Left Coronary Vasculature: Different  Views

Coronary angiography
  • The left main coronary artery is the most important coronary artery, giving rise to the left anterior descending (to the right of the left main) and circumflex arteries (inferior of the left main)."

  • This view, the left anterior descending coronary artery (LAD) is superior.  The first vessel branching off of the LAD, on the right, is the first diagonal.  The vessel going to the right, off of the left main, is the circumflex.  Arteries are large and are normal.
